The Climate

Even throughout the rest of Burgenland the region of Eisenberg is known for its pannonian climate zone, filled with dry summers and cold winters. Cool breezes from the neighbouring Steiermark help to make the climate a bit cooler in the summer, and produces elegant and fresh wine.

Whether or not Kopfsteiner’s higher vineyards in Eisenberg are cooler, isn’t such a big deal though , because most of the time the grapes are protected in the cellar, which allows for a longer vegetation period.
